I’ve already entered but there is one day left for you to get under the wire — every year NBC holds a lottery for tickets to a performance of Saturday Night Live. Through the years, I’ve seen the show performed live three times, never the actual show mind you but the full dress rehearsal that runs earlier Saturday evening and which features skits that don’t wind up in the actual show (so it’s a bit of a toss up which is better to see, the Dress Rehearsal or the Live Broadcast since you 1. See the actor’s first pass which can sometimes be funnier than the broadcast because of miscues and the like and 2. There is stuff that never makes it to broadcast).

Well, you can only enter the lottery during the month of August so if you reading this click through and point your browser along since it only takes a moment or two to send an email off and enter. You never know!

Stand-by tickets are distributed at 7am on the 49th st. side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza on the mornings of the tapings. You may choose a stand-by ticket for either the 8pm dress rehearsal or the 11:30pm live taping. Aside from minimal, necessary breaks, all stand-by line members must remain in line at all times.
